I grew up in Paris, Illinois and moved to Minnesota seven years ago. I live here with my husband, Les, and three of my four children: Caullin (12th grade), Sophie (11th grade), and Lauryn (9th grade). At home I also live with a long-haired Dachshund, Ellie, and 3 cats named Henry, Addy, and Max. In my spare time I like to read, work on my computer, and hangout with my family. One of my favorite things to do is travel. I love hanging out on the beach and experiencing new places. While I enjoy teaching all subjects, science and math are by far my favorite. In addition to holding a teaching certification, I also have degrees in the biological science field.
This will be my third year working as a 6th grade teacher, but I have an additional six years of experience in Title 1, 3rd grade and 5th grade. I believe that being a teacher is the most wonderful job in the world! One of my favorite things about teaching is that I get to work with a brand-new group of interesting, energetic, creative kids each year! I love learning and hope to pass that love on to my students. I have lots of exciting and educational activities planned for this year and am looking forward to a great year of fun and learning.
