Homework Policy
All students are expected to complete all homework assignments each night without exception (See 2029-2021 6th Grade Homework Policy). Students should not have more than one hour of homework on a typical school day, though on some days, such as when we are preparing for a test or have a long term project, there may be just a little more. Time spent on homework will increase if work is interrupted by television, phone calls, or other distractions. There will be a study hall at the end of each day and students will have time to work during the day. Students who use their time wisely and get down to work will find they have a lot less work to take home.
Students are responsible for making up all work missed during an absence. If your child must be absent for any length of time, please make arrangements to pick up your child's work. If several day's worth of work piles up at school, your child may have quite a difficult time getting caught up and/or may earn low scores on assignments.
I will be quick to contact you should I see a problem with your child's homework. I would ask that you please do the same for me. When we work together as a team, we can help your child achieve great success!
